Eldon Growers Market!

Spring is in the air, blossom's on the trees and the Eldon Mini Farmers are ready to grow some food! Join us in celebrating the launch of our campus food garden, and the start of the Spring break, at this festive event for students, staff, locals and anyone with a shared interest in eating well and improving our local environment. Our new growing space, created by students for students, will produce high quality organic heirloom vegetables year-round, creating opportunities for students to engage with their food at the source. The growers' market is a chance for students, local food producers and food-based community projects to meet up and share skills, ideas and tasty treats! There will be a variety of stalls and activities, including: Potting and seed sewing demonstrations Making your own windowsill herb garden Raised-bed building and painting workshops Somerstown Community Garden The Stacey Orchard Southsea Greenhouse Green Society Vegan Society Collective Nourishment FoodCycle FoodPortsmouth Pompey Preserves And even a smoothie bike!
